1. Ballantyne – Considered the most popular residential area for avid golfers, this neighborhood has a good balance between housing, business, entertainment, dining, and shopping choices. Once known as a hunting preserve on the property of the Harris family, Ballantyne was developed only just a decade ago but continues to grow to meet the demand. Homes range in the $230’s to the millions. Top subdivisions include The Point, Ballantyne Country Club, and Ballantyne East.
2. Center City – A unique area that loops around Uptown, and is a busy, urban neighborhood close to popular businesses and entertainment venues, including the Bank of America Stadium, where the NFL Panthers play. New townhomes and condos are more prevalent here than single family homes, averaging in the $200’s, but of the single family homes in the vicinity, they are reasonably priced in the $200’s as well. 6. Plaza-Midwood – It’s a historic neighborhood that was once a suburb for streetcars.
