National Real Estate Experts Recommend Buying Your Charlotte Home Now
Across the U.S., the real estate market is flourishing as more and more millennials become first-time homeowners and move-up buyers. And since they flock to where the economy is thriving, that’s why the top 25 cities where they are moving include Charlotte, which is ranked 18th according to the Urban Land Institute. But that’s not all. Homes in the region make it a “hot” market right now, for everyone, and not just millennials.
Here’s what the experts have to say about real estate in the Queen City:
Homes are in such high demand that not only are they selling much faster than they usually do –
at less than 100 days from listing to closing – but there are fewer homes from which to choose, increasing bidding wars and the prices as a result. Therefore, Charlotte remains a seller’s market, where homeowners are able to earn as much as 98.8% of their asking price.
Home sales in Charlotte may have dropped in June (at a 3.8% decrease from last year), but people moving to the area aren’t decreasing. In fact, in cities like Raleigh and Concord, and the suburb of Waxhaw, are all some of
the fastest-growing locales in North Carolina. It also stands to reason that of all the people moving to or around Charlotte who are currently renters, that’s not to say that many more of them won’t become homebuyers just as soon as more homes for sale become available! Yet another reason why if you are already a Charlotte homeowner who wants to list your home, the faster you do it, the easier it will be to sell your home right now!
The construction of new homes has increased, as shown by a rise in building permits. New developments will aid in adding more inventory to Charlotte’s market. Housing includes Millbridge in Waxhaw, Stafford at Langtree and Waterlynn, both in Mooresville, The Mills at Rocky River in Concord, and Lismore in Matthews, as well as a handful of other new homes built in South Carolina cities closest to Charlotte, such as with Palm Tree Cove in York or Massey in Fort Mill.

Whether you are a Charlotte homeowner ready to list your home, a current resident seeking to own a new or first-time home, or if you are relocating to the Queen City and want to know more about the area, it’s time to make your move!
