Charlotte

Why you'd want to live in Charlotte

Charlotte Experience North Carolina’s metropolitan scene. Charlotte is a culture all its own. The metropolitan area boasts of over 1 million residents, which includes its neighborhoods and surrounding towns. Finding a home for sale in Charlotte to suite your lifestyle should be easy with the variety of options offered. Its notable foods and beverages – all mostly southern cooking and craft beer – gives bargain hunters on the prowl for great food at even better prices. Built on the heels of banking moguls like Bank of America and Wells Fargo’s success, the Queen City is the second largest financial center in the country, with New York City being the first. However, unlike NYC, Charlotte feels much smaller. Because most of Charlotte’s activity is located on the outskirts of uptown, the city’s reputation clings to its neighborhoods. Split into four unique districts, each adding to the big banking center’s flair, Charlotte is defined by its residents. Skyscrapers meet swanky street cafes for a modern appeal that proves hard to pass up in center city areas, meanwhile, just a few blocks away townhouse style manors soften street corners with a homey vibe. Notwithstanding, the crossroad of this uptown hub never goes out of style. Trade and Tryon streets have been in place long before the city was named after British Queen Charlotte in 1762, marking it as the spot where Native Americans once traded goods and was the nucleus for all of Charlotte’s growth. That growth included, eventually, a NFL and NBA team, the Carolina Panthers and the Charlotte Bobcats respectively, multiple major universities, with UNC Charlotte being part of the UNC system and having a campus in center city, and the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, stage for Broadway favorites like Wicked and Phantom of the Opera. As the seventeenth largest city in the country, finding a home for sale in Charlotte is worth the exploration. via Showcase Realty
